Cook Island Language Week

         Cook Island Language Week

It was really fun to learn Cook Island Languages.

On Monday the bell went and everyone had to line up then room eight went for two rounds of run on the asrov tervi.

First The students from Glen Innes School learned about Cook Island language.

Next My class Room Eight learned 4 Cook Island words. The words that we learnt were

Kia Orana - Hello,

Pe’ea Koe - How are you,

Meitaki au- I am fine,

Akape ‘ ea koe- how about you.

That is all the words that Room eight learnt.

After that we learnt words from a blog. Because some of the students in Room Eight are not Cook Island and some of the Cook Island students don’t know that much of Cook Island words but if some students are from Cook Island they might know all of the Cook Island words.

Then we learnt how to farewell students. The words we learnt how to farewell students are

 Aere ra - Goodbye,

E no‘o ra - Goodbye.

That is all the words we learnt. Those words were from a blog as well

Finally I was happy because I could say all the Cook Island  words right but some I did not know but because I learnt the Cook Island words I knew all the words that our teacher told us to greet people in Cook Island.
